Not necessarily, because you choose how you’re assessed. To graduate, you only need to complete one of the following three options:
1. Multiple-choice questions to check your understanding of the key material covered in the course.
2. Short essays giving you the chance to show what you’ve learnt in your own words.
3. A 40-day guided practice log. This option is about putting what you learn into practice. It’s based on Imam al-Ghazali’s Bidayat al-Hidayah (The Beginning of Guidance). Each day you’ll use a simple checklist to record the good actions you’ve done and the things you’ve deliberately avoided, then add a few short reflections on your day. It isn’t a test of how well you write. It’s a structured way to build consistent habits that bring you closer to Allah ï·».
One of the diploma’s modules covers Bidayat al-Hidayah in detail, so if you’re considering the practice log, you’ll get a clear understanding of how it works during the course
