A conversation with Jibril AS…
What did The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ say about Mercy? Once the Prophet ﷺ asked Jibril AS:” Allah has described me as a mercy for the worlds. As for mercy to mankind, that is known. But how did my mercy envelope even you O Jibril?” Jibril AS then said, “Your mercy has even enveloped me. I used to fear my end. Will my end be like Iblees who obeyed Allah then became disobedient? I used to fear this until Allah revealed, The Quran is the word of Allah delivered by Jibril who possess’s great strength and is held in honour by the Lord of the Throne.”
He Continued…
“When the Quran was revealed upon you O Prophet ﷺ, Allah saved me from ever falling into disobedience to Him, because God’s words are true and never change. That is a part of your mercy to the entire creation O Muhammed ﷺ. He at is the light that brightens the darkness, the epitome of mercy, the paragon of virtues. “Indeed in him is an excellent example..” (33.21).
